Tariff changes are related to a change in customer habits, a reduction in the amount of traditional postal items, an increase in transport and logistics costs, an increase in the price of energy resources and an increase in employee wages, according to the statement.

The price of a domestic simple package shipment (from 1.001 to two kilograms) will increase by 7.3% – from 4.76 euros to 5.11 euros, a domestic registered package shipment (from 1.001 to two kilograms) will cost 7.05 euros from the previous 6.21 instead of EUR, which is 13.5% more, but the price of a domestic insured parcel (from 1.001 to two kilograms) will decrease by 8.4% – from EUR 6.93 to EUR 6.35. At the same time, it should be taken into account that 2% of the insurance amount must also be paid for insured postal parcels.

It is expected that the price of sending a domestic simple letter weighing up to 20 grams will increase by 36.4% – from EUR 1.65 to EUR 2.25, the price of sending a domestic registered letter weighing up to 20 grams will be EUR 4.15 instead of the previous EUR 3.1 , which is 33.9% more, while the price of sending a domestic insured letter weighing up to 20 grams will increase by 9.9% and will be 4.2 euros instead of the previous 3.82 euros.

On the other hand, the discount for registration of registered and insured shipments “Mans pasts” will be reduced by 40.7% – from 0.59 to 0.35 euros.

Also, the delivery rate for subscribed press releases will increase. The new tariff draft provides that from January 1, the tariff for the delivery of one press edition unit will increase by 23.6% – from EUR 0.55 to EUR 0.68, while the tariff per kilogram will increase by 21.7% – from EUR 1.2 EUR to EUR 1.46.

The representatives of “Latvijas pasta” previously explained that, taking into account the state compensation mechanism for the delivery of press editions, the delivery costs of one press unit for press publishers will change on average from 0.15 to 0.18 euros, which represents a 1.5 euro cost increase for a weekly publication during the year .

Changes are also expected in the rates of cross-border postal services, including, for example, sending a simple letter to the USA weighing up to 20 grams will increase twice – from 1.83 euros to 3.72 euros, while sending a registered package to the USA (not exceeding one kilogram) will cost 20, 6 euros instead of the previous 23.91 euros, which is 13.8% less.

On the other hand, the tariff for a registered mail package weighing up to two kilograms to Estonia will decrease by 9.6% – from 14.24 euros to 12.88 euros, while the fee for a mail package weighing up to two kilograms to Lithuania will decrease by 14.5% – from 17 .26 euros to 14.75 euros.
