Chinese smartphone maker Shiomi is preparing to launch its flagship device, the Xiaomi 12. Shiomi CEO confirmed that the MIUI 13 interface and Xiaomi 12 series will be launched in December 28th. However, it is possible to cool the enthusiasm a bit, as at this stage it is not clear whether the MIUI 13 interface will be installed on the 12 series starting from day one. Shiomi’s founder, president and CEO, Lei Jun, made several comments before attending the interface announcement event. John described the challenges Shiomi has faced in the past year, mentioning issues that everyone is concerned about such as “How Shiomi will continue to climb the prestigious road, and how it will be able to launch the smart electric car in 2024“. Jun claims Shiomi team is seriously improving and will have an experience “Faster and more stableBetween the lines, it can be understood that the Xiaomi 12 and MIUI 13 will offer a faster and more stable experience.
Concurrent with the announcement by Shiomi, CEO of OnePlus, Mr. Pete Lau tweets that the OnePlus 10 Pro will be launched in January. “OnePlus 10 Pro, we’ll see you in January, Tweeted the CEO. There is still no official date announced for the announcement event other than the fact that it will take place this coming January. On January 5, the company is hosting a press event at the CES show in the US and estimates suggest that at the event the company will announce the OnePlus 10 series. No official information has yet been released confirming this.
The new OnePlus smartphone is expected to come with a 6.7-inch screen with QHD + resolution, with a screen refresh rate of 120 Hz, water resistance and IP68 standard, while it is expected to come with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The rear camera array is expected to come with a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 3.3x optical zoom. The front sensor is expected to be 32 megapixels.
