Launch of the Benghazi International Dental Conference

Today, Saturday, the Benghazi International Dental Conference began at the Tibesti Hotel in Benghazi, under the supervision and organization of the Specialized Center for Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery, with the participation of doctors from various national hospitals and medical centers, in addition to doctors and consultants in the field of dentistry from Egypt, Tunisia, Malta and Italy.

According to the “Wal” agency, the opening session of the conference was attended by the Minister of Health in the Libyan government, Othman Abdul Jalil, the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Benghazi Municipality, Saqr Bajouri, the Director of the Specialized Center for Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery in Benghazi, the directors of a number of hospitals and medical centers, and a group of doctors and those interested in the health sector.

The two-day conference includes “lectures and workshops that address the latest scientific developments in the field of oral and dental medicine and surgery.”

In his speech at the opening session of the conference, the Minister of Health in charge stressed “the importance of organising conferences that provide opportunities for the exchange of scientific expertise between participants, which would contribute to raising the level of scientific knowledge of local medical cadres.”
