Speaking at the 1st Fez Forum, the president of AIIPES, Fadoua Dadoune, indicated that the organization of this meeting coincides with the commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the Green March and the 69th anniversary of Independence Day, adding that it comes in a context of major diplomatic victories for the Kingdom in the defense of the national cause.
“Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, has made great strides in the development of its southern provinces, which has accelerated public and private investments, particularly in the areas of infrastructure, transport air, sea, rail and road, in addition to energy,” recalled Ms. Dadoune.
This two-day forum, she continued, aims for a global mobilization of the various active forces to promote and preserve territorial integrity, in the face of the “belligerent propaganda and ferocious attacks” by which the Algerian military regime and its bureaucracy are trying to undermine territorial integrity by supporting the separatist group ”Polisario”, which has no international legitimacy.
For her part, the professor of history at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences Fès-Saïss, Majda El Karimi, returned to the central role played by the Moroccan Sahrawi woman in the service of the sustainable development of the southern provinces under the wise leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.
In a statement to MAP, the Saharan affairs researcher, Rachid Kanjaa, indicated that this forum intervenes in application of the content of the royal speech on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, explaining that the Moroccan Sahara affair requires the mobilization of all segments of Moroccan society, whether at the individual or collective level.
“In this sense, this forum translates the orientations of the royal speech by raising public awareness of developments in the national cause, the accumulated achievements and the challenges that we remain to overcome both at the level of official and parallel diplomacy,” said -he said.
