jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Ministry of Manpower launched the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 5 of 2024 concerning the Labor Market Information System (SIPK).

This Ministerial Regulation aims to build a modern and comprehensive Labor Market Information System (SIPK), as well as to describe the structure of the workforce, characteristics of the workforce, supply and needs of the workforce.

Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said that this Ministerial Regulation is also a strategic effort to improve the quality of human resources so that they have skills and competencies according to the needs of the labor market.

“Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 5 of 2024 is expected to be a reference in developing a reliable Labor Market Information System to be able to realize… link and match from the side supply and the demand side of the labor market,” said Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor.

This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor when giving directions at the Coordination Meeting of the Labor Market Information System (SIPK) and the Launch of Minister of Manpower Regulation Number 5 of 2024 and Kickoff Project Labor Market and Skills System Transformation for Labor Market Flexibility (LISTRAF) in Jakarta, Monday (8/7).

Furthermore, Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah said that Permenaker 5/2024 is the legal basis that regulates the management, utilization, and development of SIPK nationally.

“Through this regulation, there are clear standard provisions and guidelines for all parties involved to ensure that SIPK runs effectively and efficiently,” he added.

Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah added that developing and strengthening SIPK is an absolute necessity.
