The Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Al-Shifa Endowment Glasses Council, launched the Al-Shifa Health Endowment Fund, which is concerned with issuing health coverage services for some residents who are not covered by free health care services and health insurance for eligibility for treatment in hospitals, while the endowment fund aims to collect assets worth 200 million riyals until 2025 AD, to spend the returns of its investments on endowment banks.

Activate community participation

The Fund is one of the initiatives launched by the Al-Shifa Endowment to provide an opportunity for individuals and private sector institutions to contribute to alleviating the suffering of beneficiary patients, in addition to stimulating and activating community participation among private sector companies in supporting non-profit development investment programs, and effective contribution within social solidarity programs to participate in supporting patients The needy, in a way that enhances the development and investment of endowment assets, and achieves financial sustainability for its products.

A visual presentation and handing out the first card

Subsequently, the attendees witnessed a visual presentation on the work of the Shifa Endowment, which comes within the initiatives that support the direction of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in providing care and humanitarian care to beneficiaries inside and outside the region’s hospitals.

During the ceremony, Prince Faisal bin Salman handed the health coverage card to the first female beneficiary of the health healing endowment services, as this service is one of the modern models in the field of charitable work, as the insurance card covers the costs of basic health needs for those who are not covered by free health care in hospitals.

The agreements come within the framework of strengthening cooperation between the endowment and the signatories in the field of supporting the charitable health work system, providing health care to beneficiaries within the endowment services, which contributes to health development, and raises the level of partnership and integration with the charitable health sector as one of the goals of the health transformation program at the regional level.
