There was no great enthusiasm after Laura Müller’s video was published on Thursday. Is that also the reason for the 23-year-old’s reaction?

Quite the opposite: ridicule and malice pour out on the 23-year-old wife of Michael Wendler, pop singer and songwriter behind “Superstar”.
With lines like “Look at my body, do you think I’m hot? Your eyes are undressing me, Martini is on ice,” Wendler is exposing his wife to ridicule, it was unanimously said in the comments after the video was published. But that’s not all: users are also gossiping on YouTube itself, directly under Laura Müller’s new video. “We have it, the worst video on YouTube ever,” reads one comment, for example. Grup Tekkan and “Where are you, my sunlight?”, an internet phenomenon from the early 2000s, is mentioned again and again. This song also quickly became very famous – because of its unintentionally funny lyrics and the lack of any musical quality. The song now has more than twelve million views.
This could also happen to Laura Müller’s video. Or? The 23-year-old now claims that her video was deliberately kept small. “Now I’m wondering why YouTube is censoring my first YouTube video?” she whispers on her Instagram channel and speaks of a “shadowban”, a secret banishment, so to speak. Laura Müller demonstrates in front of the camera what she means: When users on YouTube type “Laura Müller Superstar” into the search bar, their video does not appear.
In fact, t-online checked this on multiple devices and using different browsers. Other Laura Müller content is displayed among the first search results on YouTube, but not the official music video for “Superstar”. Is it because your account is new on the Google-operated video platform? According to YouTube, she “joined on April 17, 2024” and has only published one video: “Superstar.”

However, the popularity curve is pointing upwards: there were 175,064 views for her account in the last 24 hours, and 1,430 people have already subscribed to the profile. And her video also received more than 265,000 views in 18 hours. Values her husband can only dream of. Not a single song from his new album “Höllisch gut” from March 22, 2024 has such numbers.
Laura Müller is still dissatisfied: She would like to know why YouTube doesn’t play her song more prominently. “It’s also pretty strange, even though it’s not against any guidelines that this video isn’t shown,” she said angrily on Instagram.
