Laure Lavalette: Toulon Campaign Launch

by Mark Thompson

Toulon’s political landscape is getting a refresh, as Laure Lavalette’s campaign chose an unexpected location for its headquarters: 142 avenue Maréchal Lyautey. The decision, announced this Saturday morning, signals a deliberate effort to connect with overlooked neighborhoods.

The choice of location isn’t just about real estate costs; it’s a statement. “The choice of Saint-Roch is above all symbolic,” Lavalette explained during the inauguration of the premises. “It fits perfectly into our approach which is to remember that there is more than just the city center which deserves attention. Today there are abandoned neighborhoods in Toulon. Moving here, in Saint-Roch, far from the bling-bling, is a way of saying to the people who live here: “You are worth as much as the inhabitants of Miter or Mourillon”.”

“Victory is within reach, but we will still have to fight!”

The new campaign headquarters, formerly a temp agency, is now buzzing with activity. Activists are already using the space for everything from poster distribution to strategic meetings. The location provides a central hub for the campaign’s efforts.

This Saturday morning, Lavalette outlined key campaign themes—including security and infrastructure—and rallied her supporters. “We are counting on everyone’s mobilization. Victory is within reach, but we will still have to fight! I’ll see you here, in forty days, on the evening of the first round to have a great party, because we will be well ahead,” she declared.
