Law college conflict: Case against more than fifty SFI activists

Thiruvananthapuram ∙ A case has been filed against SFI activists in the Thiruvananthapuram Law College conflict. More than fifty known SFI workers are accused in the case. The case is based on the complaint of Assistant Professor VK Sanju. He has been charged with assault and battery. The teachers were detained for ten hours on Thursday night.

Earlier, 24 SFI workers were suspended from the college for vandalizing the KSU flag. In protest against this, 21 teachers were locked in the room and the electricity connection was disconnected. Meanwhile, teacher V.K. said that after the footage of SFIs burning KSU’s flagpole and boards came out on Tuesday night, the guilty students were suspended. Sanju said.
