The sanction of the text of the law that creates the Citizenship portfolio in the State Executive was published today in the Official Gazette, arising from the dismemberment of Setescc (State Secretariat for Tourism, Sports, Culture and Citizenship). The text approved by the deputies and sanctioned today contains the responsibilities of each of the sub-secretariats. For the holder, according to the law, the duties are “promoting the universalization of rights, guaranteeing individual freedoms, equality, equity, social justice and citizenship; promotion and coordination of affirmative policies for the effective exercise of citizenship and development of educational programs and actions against all forms of prejudice, intolerance, discrimination and violence, with a focus on education for equality and citizenship; planning and coordination of public policies to promote racial equality, indigenous peoples, youth, the LGBTQIA+ community, women, people with disabilities, elderly people and community affairs.” The report attempted to contact the future holder of the portfolio and also the government’s advisors to confirm the inauguration ceremony tomorrow.
