León lost contact with his loved ones at 10:30 p.m. last Wednesday, May 10. At that moment, she left the hotel where she was staying, on Avenida 9 de Octubre and José Mascote, in the center of Puerto Principal. His whereabouts after that are unknown.
He Colonel Fabary Montalvo, deputy police chief of Zone 8 (Guayaquil, Durán and Samborondón), mentioned that about four hours later, at 02:30 on Thursday, he was transferred from an ambulance of the Fire Department to the aforementioned hospital.

In his publication, Gallegos said that the lawyer “was approached by two women and disappeared in circumstances that are still being investigated.”
In statements to a television media outlet, the woman mentioned that he traveled to Guayaquil for work reasons and was meeting a friend. While EXTRA was told that her husband remained unconscious and intubated for more than 24 hours.
