This Friday the governor Layda Sansores He inaugurated the automotive sector company, Chihuahua Electrical Wiring Systems (CEWS) and with this he seeks to ensure that the people of Campeche have permanent formal jobs.

During the event held near the Solidaridad Urbana Housing Unit, he addressed more than 450 employees of the company and stated that this investment will help Campeche reduce the inequality gap, which was created after being a State that produced 80% of the oil and fed this country, but that did not produce “a single nail.”

All of this was accompanied by Gustavo Saucedo, Executive Director; BJ Choi, Director of Operations and GS Park, Commercial Director, as well as the Secretary of Economic Development, Fernando Gamboa Rosas.

“Today, we are already making harnesses, we have our first factory, whose businessmen had confidence in Campeche and chose this site to be their home,” he added.

Sansores asked the business sector to remain calm, as he stressed that social peace prevails in the state and mentioned that there will always be reciprocity for them so that there can be mutual cooperation.

In addition to talking with the workers, Layda Sansores mentioned that the arrival of a new company to the State will be announced thanks to the support of the president of the republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the next president, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Gustavo Saucedo explained that CEWS began searching for a site to install this plant a year ago and chose Campeche “mainly for its security, as well as other elements such as the growth in first-class infrastructure, the Mayan Train, and a workforce with well-trained human resources.”

“But above all, for having a pro-business government, a government that cares for human beings, but also sees the opportunities and benefits of having this company and the growth of the automotive industry,” he said.

The businessman reiterated his commitment to make CEWS “the spearhead” and pioneer of the automotive industry in Campeche to get more companies to come and establish themselves and achieve an industrial city.

Gamboa Rosas said that the automotive sector in Mexico represents a solid pillar of economic development and that it is thanks to the strong logistics and supply chain that it has been able to attract foreign investment and generate jobs, in addition to positioning the country among the “top” of the largest producers in the automotive sector worldwide.

“In the last 15 years, the automotive sector in Mexico has grown spectacularly. Mexico is now the world’s sixth largest automobile producer. After China, the United States, Japan, India, and Germany, Mexico is ahead of South Korea, Brazil, Spain, and France,” he added.

He also mentioned that there has been growth in Campeche, with great potential for investors, since the construction of the new gas pipeline is in process, the Mayan Train and the trans-isthmus corridor are already in operation, and the ports of Carmen and Seybaplaya will be expanded.
