Shelved for years, Leader Fanilo finally has his new national president. The political party of the late Herizo Razafimahaleo appointed Heriniaina Mahosindrahaja alias Babal as its president on Monday May 1 at the end of its national council, held at the Pavé Antaninarenina hotel. This puts an end to a transitional period initiated on July 26, 2022, as part of the reunification process of this political formation during which Professor Antoine Zafera Rabessa and Commander Alphonse Toto co-chaired it.
The other new members of the political office are also elected like the three national vice-presidents namely Ketty Andriambololona, Philippe Rajaona and Nandrasa Tiava as well as the national secretary general, Perlinot Herindrainy and the deputy national secretaries.
The handover ceremony between the two outgoing co-presidents and the new elected national president took place yesterday. For the 5th national president of the Economic Liberalism and Democratic Actions for the Reconstruction of Madagascar party, the greatest mission remains the reunification of all the members, since following an internal squabble, Jean-Max Rakotomamonjy, former president of the National Assembly, which bequeathed the presidency of the party to the two co-presidents.
Then, the party should prepare for all the electoral activities that are looming on the horizon in the country, while advocating, the real decentralization in the country, to ensure the development of Madagascar.
Yesterday’s ceremony was also marked by the testimony of recognition formulated by Professor Antoine Zafera Rabesa to the not-national president of the party, in the person of Manassé Esoavelomandroso for his 40 years of political activism. An event that many political figures such as Lalatiana Rakotondrazafy, founder of Freedom and no less Minister of Communication and Culture, Annick Ratsiraka of Arema, Rivo Rakotovao of HVM or Olivier Rakotovazaha of MFM have honored with their presence.
