jpnn.comJAKARTA – Former Indonesian national team player Evan Dimas was officially released by Persik Kediri ahead of the second round of League 1, Wednesday.

Persik Kediri officially released Evan Dimas in the 2024/2025 BRI Liga 1 half season market.

While wearing the Persik uniform, Evan Dimas only defended the club nicknamed White Tiger once.

According to Persik Kedidi coach Marcelo Rospide, the decision to release Evan Dimas was taken through mutual agreement.

“Management and players have agreed to end cooperation. We express our gratitude and wish Evan Dimas the best for his future career,” said Rospide as quoted from the official Persik Kediri website.

Rospide then explained that his team had the opportunity to bring in new players in the transfer market. He said that in general his party really believes in the current squad, it has been proven that healthy competition is created and whoever is included in the starting eleven always gives their maximum.

“However, there are several positions that really need attention, such as right-back after Aqil Munawar’s injury and Nury Fasya, who has not been optimal because he also had an injury and accumulated cards,” he added.

The right back position has recently been often occupied by Vava Mario, Kiko and Brendon Lucas, which incidentally is not their original position.
