First, Lucy’s children and husband came up and paid tribute in tears: “Mom, I closed my eyes and prayed that you would wake up. My heart is already so full of sorrow. I am paralyzed by the pain,” said Karen, her daughter. “Losing a mother is like losing a life. You can’t move on from here. I don’t want to move on, to forget. We went through a journey together, we worked on our relationship, you held us together. Everyone will move on, and only we will be left behind. Even in a thousand words I can’t describe her , mother is everything. You were shot twice. You were a strong woman, fighting for your life. From childhood until the last moment – you were not silent. You cannot sum them up in words, there is only one mother. I love you mother.”

Tal, another daughter of Lucy, also paid tribute: “How do you sum up mother? You can’t sum up in a eulogy. I’m trying to understand how we fall asleep. Mom, who will help me when I need it? Who will be strong for us? Mom, who will protect me now? You always protected me Speaking of bad things, you used to sing ‘The Redeemer Angel’ to me at home, and you said I’d save it for the times I needed it. I wish your grandchildren would be like you. You’re taking care of Maya and Rina now, who will take care of us now?”

She saw the world around her, where she could have an impact, and fostered a sense of togetherness in the community. When Lucy and Leo moved to Israel, Lucy Once again she decided to give back to the community in the best way – to teach Israelis English voluntarily. She was a devoted mother to her children. Remember Lucy, Maya and Rina, and remember all the good that is in this world, and what we can all do to make the world a better place.”
