New Leak Reveals Samsung Galaxy S24 with Flat-Edged Design

A new leak of the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 has surfaced, giving tech enthusiasts a glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming smartphone. The leaked renders, provided by renowned leaker Steve McFly, also known as @OnLeaks, in collaboration with SmartPrix, showcase the device from all angles, providing a 360-degree view.

One of the most significant design changes revealed in the renders is the shift from the rounded edges that Samsung’s previous handsets sported to a flat-edged look for the Galaxy S24. This alteration gives the phone a more sleek and modern appearance. Samsung’s decision to abandon the curved edges is expected to divide opinions among fans who have grown accustomed to the distinctive aesthetic.

The render of the Galaxy S24 maintains the design language of its predecessor, the Galaxy S23, with three rear cameras positioned vertically and no camera block surrounding them. However, a notable difference highlighted in the render is the presence of metal sides, resembling recent iPhones’ metallic and flat edges. It is essential to consider that the accuracy of renders concerning material and color choice is typically less reliable than overall design accuracy, as they are crafted based on specifications and documents. Samsung may still make changes before finalizing the phone’s appearance.

SmartPrix, in its analysis of the render, pointed out the inclusion of an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna on the side of the phone. This suggests that the antenna will be visibly incorporated into the Galaxy S24’s external design instead of being concealed within the device, as seen in previous Galaxy handsets.

In terms of dimensions, it appears that the Galaxy S24 will closely resemble its predecessor, the Galaxy S23, with measurements of 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm, according to SmartPrix’s predictions. Similarly, the display is expected to remain largely unchanged, featuring a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Additionally, Steve McFly also leaked renders for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus in collaboration with GizNext. The images of the S24 Plus showcase a design remarkably similar to those of the regular S24, including the metallic finish on the side frame. The leaked dimensions for the S24 Plus are predicted to be approximately 158.5 x 75.9 x 7.75mm, which closely match the measurements of last year’s S23 Plus model.

As excitement continues to build around the release of the Samsung Galaxy S24, these leaks provide an early glimpse into the device’s design, fueling anticipation for its expected debut in early 2024.
