Leaked specifications of the Oppo Reno 9 flagship phone days before the launch!

by time news

Some reports claim that Oppo is preparing to announce the Oppo Reno 9 series sometime during the coming November. We still have plenty of time to confirm the rumors are true.

But today, the famous leaker Digital Chat Station – who specializes in Chinese company news – came out on the Chinese Weibo site claiming to be aware of all the specifications of the Oppo Reno 9 phone.

Oppo Reno 9 specifications leaked

According to what the leaker mentioned, the new phone bears the model number PHM110 and will be unveiled as the Oppo Reno 9. The phone will have a 6.7-inch curved OLED screen with FHD + resolution of 2412 x 1080 pixels at a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The phone is said to be powered by the Snapdragon 778G Plus SoC processor paired with 12GB of RAM.

The Reno 9 will have a 32MP front camera that uses the Sony IMX709 sensor, which is the same as the selfie camera sensor on the Reno 8.

As for the rear camera, it will feature a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor as the main sensor. Although the leaked images show the presence of two other cameras, we do not know what their specifications are in detail.

The phone will draw its power from a 4500 mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging. Which means that the company decided to reduce the charging speed from 80 watts to 67 watts on the series phones, perhaps in order to secure the battery and preserve its life span.

The phone will have a fingerprint scanner built into the bottom of the screen and the phone will most likely be powered by Android 13.

Just as a reminder, the Reno 8 came with a 6.43-inch AMOLED FHD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC processor with a 4500 mAh battery and 80W fast charging.

Thus, despite the slower charging speed compared to the previous phone, it is clear that the company will make up for it with a better screen. But from the leaked specifications, it seems that it is not a flagship phone in the literal sense, but rather a mid-range phone.

There will certainly be other models in the series targeting different categories of users such as Reno 9 Plus and Reno 9 Pro, and certainly the Pro model will be the company’s crown jewel during the month of November. Let’s wait and see for ourselves what the series phones will look like.
