Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, the Royal Commission for Al-Ula Governorate, in cooperation with the Saudi Camel Federation, announced the establishment of the “Al-Ula Cup for Camels”, which will start over 4 days, starting from Today until the 17th of this month; To be the culmination of a busy season of multiple camel races in the Kingdom and the region, with a total value of prizes amounting to more than 80 million riyals.

The Al-Ula Camel Cup, which lasts for four consecutive days, brings together 40 of the best racing camels in the region to compete for the biggest prize in the history of camel racing. Each day of the tournament features a different kind of race, testing the speed, stamina and stamina of the amazing desert ships.

* First day (Tuesday)
It starts with the “marathon” race, where human camel riders race in 6 rounds of 4 kilometers.

* Second day (Wednesday)
It features two “heritage races” – “Haqeeq” at a distance of 4 km and “Laqaya” at a distance of 5 km, each with two rounds.
All races from the second to the fourth day will have robotic camel riders.

*Third day (Thursday)
It also includes two heritage races – “Jada’a” at a distance of 6 km, and “Thanaya” at a distance of 8 km.
Two rounds each.

Fourth day (Friday)
The climax of the race will be witnessed with two “elite races” – “Hail” and “Zamoul” with a length of 8 km and one round to compete for the highest prize money of 7.5 million Saudi riyals per round for the winner of the first place.
