Doha: Qatar University with online course for foreigners to learn Arabic for free. Initially, three online courses will be launched namely Arabic for Non-Arabic Speakers Course, Human Being in Islam Course and Qatar History and Heritage Course.

These courses are designed as part of the country’s efforts to support and protect the Arabic language in accordance with the 2019 Amiri Decree Law Number Seven on the Preservation of the Arabic Language. Students from over 35 countries study Arabic through Qatar University’s Arabic for Nonnative Speakers Center. Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers is led by an elite group of expert faculty members. The courses are launched keeping in mind the increasing demand for learning Arabic online. After announcing the courses, Qatar University said that 600 people from different countries have already registered.

Mask wearing more relaxed in Qatar

Doha: More relaxation in wearing masks in Qatar. From now on, it is enough to wear a mask only in the health institutions of the country. The new decision came into effect from Sunday, October 23. The new concessions were granted in a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani at the Amiri Diwan. At the same time, those working in closed workplaces who have to interact directly with customers should also wear a mask.
