Praise has been heaped on Twitter CEO Barack Agarwal for announcing he will take leave to take care of the baby.
Barack Agrawal took over as CEO of Twitter (CEO) last November, one of the world’s leading social networking sites. The 38-year-old is of Indian descent. Barack graduated from IIT Mumbai with a Ph.D. from Stanford. Barack, who joined Twitter 10 years ago, has been gradually promoted by his hard work and has now risen to become its CEO. Many Indians expressed their appreciation and congratulations when he took over as CEO.
His current Twitter post has taken everyone, including the company’s employees, by surprise and delight. That means Barack has announced that he has a few weeks to go on maternity leave for fathers to take care of his second child. His announcement has received praise from all.
Barak Agarwal is also a member of the Twitter Parents group. This group is an organization for working parents on Twitter. Maternity leave is given to the father as maternity leave is an important moment in the life of both the parents.
As such, it is the CEO who exemplifies the use of maternity leave for fathers, and going on leave is seen as a change. And the Twitter staff has sent a message to Barrack saying ‘We are with you’. Similarly, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma has welcomed Barack Agarwal’s announcement, posting on her Instagram story that “maternity leave should be normalized for dads too”.
