Lebedev first Grand Prix final and fourth place in his career; Zmarzliks / becomes the world champion

Lebedev won the first race, finished third, won the next two, and finished third in the last two, securing a place in the semi-finals.

In the semifinals, the Latvian speedster finished behind Zmarzlik, entering the final for the first time in his career.

In the second semi-final, the first two places were taken by Polish Macejs Janovskis and British Robert Lamberts.

Lamberts won the final, Zmarzliks finished second, Janovskis third and Lebedevs fourth.

In the overall standings after ten stages, the leader with 159 points is Zmarzliks, who has already become the champion, as he can earn 20 points in one stage, and the second with 137 points is Lamberts. Sweden’s Frederik Lindgren has 127 points.

Lebedevs is in tenth place with 75 points, Daniils Kolodinskis is in 26th place with three points, and Francis Gusts is in 29th place with one point, but Richards Ansviesulis is without points, completing the list of 34 riders.

Lebedevs starts in the master’s race with a special invitation. He is the first driver of the Latvian speedway, who is included in the basic composition of 15 drivers and can participate in all stages.

This year’s calendar includes 11 “Grand Prix” stages. The last stage will take place on September 28 at the Polish track in Toruń.

As the first reserve of the “Grand Prix” 2023 season, Lebedev started in the last five “Grand Prix” stages of the season, taking 16th place in the overall standings with 30 points.
