«King James“, who scored 1,695 points last season, averaging more than 30 points in 56 games (out of 82 possible), totaled less than 1,325 points only once, during the 2020-21 season, which ended with 1,126 pawns scored, having missed more than half of the schedule due to injury.
If he is faithful to his career average of 27.1 points per game, LeBron will need 49 games to become the all-time leading scorer. Already a record holder for All-Star Game starts (18) and points scored (385), he could also join Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the most capped of all, with 19 appearances.
James, who obviously dreams of gleaning a 5th championship ring even if his Lakers are not among the favorites, has other individual objectives to swell his legacy a little more, even if the records in this area seem out of reach.
