NBA star LeBron James designed a custom light ivory Mercedes-Maybach S 680 through the brand’s Manufaktur Made to Measure program. A near-identical twin of the vehicle will head to auction later this year, with proceeds supporting the LeBron James Family Foundation.

When LeBron James worked directly with the Mercedes-Maybach individual customization atelier at corporate headquarters in Stuttgart, the resulting luxury saloon broke from traditional factory aesthetics. Rather than sticking to standard black or silver finishes, James curated a soothing palette featuring a bone-deep ivory exterior paired with an indigo stormy blue Nappa leather interior complete with porcelain contrast stitching.

Personalized Details From Roof to Roads

The interior cabin incorporates deeply personal elements throughout. James added a metal plate on every doorsill displaying the birth dates of his three children—LeBron “Bronny” Jr., Bryce, and Zhuri—positioning the dates so they serve as the first visual detail upon entering the vehicle.

An etched console plaque highlights Akron, Ohio’s latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates directly beneath the letters LLTK, which stand for Long Live the King. The athlete’s personal logo—a blocky mirror-linked capital L and J topped with a crown—appears across front fender badges, climate vents, headrests, floor mats, and rear lumbar pillows.

Furthermore, the exterior trades the traditional V12 badge for James’s personal crown emblem. Beneath the bespoke exterior styling, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 utilizes a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 generating 621 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. The drivetrain pairs a 9-speed automatic transmission with a fully variable 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

A Near-Identical Twin Headed to Auction

While James’s personal vehicle remains a one-off specification, Maybach produced a second model matching the exact design specifications. This near-identical twin vehicle debuted as part of Mercedes-Benz displays during Monterey Car Week.

The twin vehicle will be auctioned off later this year through the Future Classics Auction House at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation.

Supporting the I Promise Program

The foundation provides comprehensive support for education, housing, healthcare, homeownership, job training, and financial literacy through its signature I Promise program. For James, partnering with the luxury automotive brand represents an extension of his community work in Ohio.
