A lead of 76,000 gave the first place at the start of tomorrow’s Grand Prix of Azerbaijan to Charles Leclerc with Ferrari. With that much, he overtook Oscar Piastri with McLaren.

The second Ferrari of Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez with Red Bull started from the second row. From third George Russell with “Mercedes” and the world champion Max Verstappen with the second “Red Bull”.

A bunch of world titles will be on the fourth row, with Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes and Fernando Alonso with Aston Martin next to each other. Williams teammates Franco Colapinto and Alex Alban start fifth.

In the decisive moment of qualifying, Alban drove with a forgotten fan in one of the air ducts and had to stop to dispose of it at the side of the track. However, this prevented him from entering in time for the final lap, leaving him behind his team-mate, who is driving in just his second race.

However, the McLaren team ruined the chances of Lando Norris to fight for the world title. Due to confused signals, the pilot reduced in his last lap the first part of the qualification and thus remained only 17th.
