NIJMEGEN – Ap Dijksterhuis, professor of psychology, will give a lecture on Thursday 29 September about his recently published book ‘Inspiration – How we achieve great achievements’. Inspiration drives us. It is the foundation of science, art, literature, music and other great achievements. Dijksterhuis explains in his new book what inspiration is. Why we have it, how it works and how we get it. With recent developments in neuroscience and psychology, he views inspiration in conjunction with creativity, motivation, curiosity and the function of our brains in general.
