Lee Jae-myung, ‌the Democratic Party​ of​ Korea’s representative candidate, won an overwhelming victory with ‌over 90% of the votes in ‌the Daejeon-Sejong regional​ primary‍ on the 11th, ⁣bringing⁢ him one‌ step closer ⁤to ‍being re-elected⁢ as party ‍leader.

The Central Party ​Election Management Committee ⁤announced that ‌according to​ the results‌ of the online vote among ⁢party members in Daejeon and Sejong held over⁢ the past two⁣ days, candidate Lee ​Jae-myung ‍recorded 90.81% and 90.21%, respectively.

The⁢ Democratic Party ⁤will hold‍ the Seoul primary on the 17th,⁤ the last⁢ of the regional primary schedules, and then select the ​party leader and five supreme ‍council‌ members ⁤at‍ the national convention on⁢ the 18th.
