Rep. Lee Jun-seok of the New Reform Party drew a line against the analysis that People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon’s emphasis on restoring the “coalition of moderate conservative voters” was a statement aimed at solidarity or an alliance with the New Reform Party, saying, “We have already been hit by Representative Han’s hit-and-run. One time is enough.”
Regarding the establishment of a second subsidiary office in the Office of the President to handle the First Lady’s schedule, he said that this cannot be a solution to the controversy and that appointing a special inspector would be more effective, and recommended former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Woong as the special inspector.
On the 6th, on SBS Radio’s “Kim Tae-hyun’s Political Show,” when the host said, “There are many interpretations that Representative Han Dong-hoon’s statement that he would ‘restore the moderate conservative voters’ coalition that existed during the last presidential election’ is an attempt to highlight the issues with the political force coalition and the Reform New Party,” the lawmaker pointed out, “When Representative Han was the vice chairman of the emergency response committee, he sent former Supreme Council member Jang Ye-chan a picture and said, ‘Please criticize Lee Jun-seok behind his back.’ Former Supreme Council member Jang posted an article criticizing Lee Jun-seok on his Facebook page at the instigation of Chairman Han Dong-hoon.”
He continued, “I was once hit by someone behind my back and they did that, so wouldn’t it be creepy if they tried to shake up the New Reform Party in a similar way?” He said, “What difference would that make from the person who gave the photo to someone and asked Lee Jun-seok to be exposed?” He said that there is no trust at all, so don’t even dream of solidarity.
When the host asked, “Do you think the installation of the Second Annex will solve the controversy surrounding Ms. Kim Kun-hee?” Rep. Lee stated, “Ms. Kim Kun-hee doesn’t ride the subway alone. She was already doing all the (assistance) in the First Annex,” and asserted that it could not be a solution, saying, “The Second Annex is just a new position, and we cannot change the current method.”
In other words, “There is already a team managing Ms. Kim Kun-hee,” and he ordered, “The kind of management that people expect is not schedule management or a secretarial role, but inspection and monitoring, so the special inspector system should be utilized, not the 2nd Sub-Office.”
While saying, “If it’s not a special inspector from the opposition party, at least appoint someone the opposition party can trust,” he said, “I’ve never consulted with him, but if it’s someone like former lawmaker Kim Woong, both the ruling and opposition parties can trust him,” and said that if it’s former lawmaker Kim, he will be watching with a glaring eye.
