Lee Soon-jae’s ‘Dog Talk’, Passionate Script Reading Site Revealed

On the 13th, KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Dog’s Tale’ (written by Byun Sook-kyung/directed by Kim Yoo-jin) revealed the script reading scene where Lee Soon-jae, Kim Yong-gun, Ye Soo-jung, Im Chae-moo, and Song Ok-sook all gathered together.

‘Dog Talk’ is a situation comedy drama that depicts the cheerful and sassy growth period of old age drawn by active seniors and ‘Sophie’, a former police dog.

The recently held script reading session was attended by the production team and actors who will lead the drama, including writer Byun Sook-kyung, director Kim Yoo-jin, actors Lee Soon-jae, Kim Yong-gun, Ye Soo-jung, Im Chae-moo, Song Ok-sook, Kim Ji-young, Lee Soo-kyung, Yeonwoo, Nam Yoon-soo, Gong Chan, and Bae Jeong-nam, who provides the voice narration for the dog ‘Sophie’ in the drama, firing the first signal flare for a delightful comic drama.

It is said that Lee Soon-jae led the atmosphere with his realistic acting and strong force, as if he were a real character in the play. Lee Soon-jae, who will portray the unstable life of a national actor by transforming into the character of the same name, showed off his reputation as a national actor with his top-notch acting skills and aura from the script reading.

Kim Yong-gun, who plays Lee Soon-jae’s close friend and actor Kim Yong-gun, raised expectations by saying, “(When you hear the drama title) you might think it’s unfamiliar, but the content is good so you’ll enjoy it.” Ye Soo-jung, who has a unique atmosphere, Im Chae-moo, who is loved for his skillful skit acting, and Song Ok-sook, who plays the youngest of the five senior members, all play characters with the same name and will show the Senior Avengers’ activities like never before.

The camaraderie of the actors who will take on the role of a solid backbone in a comedy drama led by veteran actors also caught the eye. Veteran actors Park Sung-woong (as Lee Ki-dong), Kim Ji-young (as Hong Eun-ha), and Lee Soo-kyung (as Kim Se-kyung) armed with solid acting skills and strong personalities also heated up the atmosphere at the script reading site with their presence.

Lastly, young actors representing the MZ generation joined to add liveliness. Yeon-woo (as Hong Cho-won), Nam Yoon-soo (as Hyun-ta), and Gong-chan (as Kang Min-woo) comfortably followed the flow even in somewhat tense situations and showed their ability to digest their characters.

Meanwhile, ‘Dog Talk’ is scheduled to air for the first time in September.
