It has been known for some time that Patrick Lefevere wants to retire. The veteran Belgian manager tried to sell the team a decade ago, then the recent merger and now he has another plan.

Basically, he agreed with other team managers and sponsors to have an assistant manager who learns the trade. “We don’t want Patrick to leave suddenly, what we ask is that there be a plan for a successor,” QuickStep CEO Ruben Desmet told HN.

“Someone who can catch up and gradually take on more responsibilities. We cannot go from zero to one hundred,” she concluded.

Well, everything indicates that this person has already been chosen and Lefevere himself reported it in the same newspaper. “It is not an easy task, I can hardly fail, not in this role,” he noted.

“We found someone who will start doing it, an assistant manager,” he concluded, although he refused to say who it is.

Additionally, we want to report MARCA HORA, to the site ViewMe, and that another Latin American multimedia, which also steals the material, becomes evident when it publishes on the same day as us news that was actually from previous days and we decided to delay. If the incident is repeated, we will hold a public protest.
