Job description

Are you ready for a bigger task? We are now looking for a case manager within administrative law for the legal department located in Stockholm. The legal department is responsible for the authority’s legal governance and support, handling of administrative law matters and information management. The department is represented throughout the country and today consists of nearly 800 employees.

Administrative law activities include, among other things, issuing and revoking permits to possess weapons, issuing permits, for example, to organize various types of events and use public space. But it can also be about issuing and revoking orderlies and disputing parking notices.

Job description

As an administrator in the administrative law section, the tasks will consist for the most part of investigating cases through contacts with the public, municipalities, organizations and other actors in order to eventually be able to examine and make decisions in your own cases, for example by contesting parking tickets. You will handle cases to test the suitability of security guards or the suitability of people to possess weapons, which will place great demands on your ability to be thorough and to have integrity. It can also be about handling the application for permission to possess weapons, to carry out explosions or for public gatherings. The duties largely consist of examining incoming applications and writing decisions that you must either prefer to your boss or decide yourself. Certain tasks are performed in close collaboration with the police operations.
At the administrative law section, cases are handled within, among other things:

  • ordinances
  • the ordinance
  • parking
  • arms.

Different types of tasks may occur depending on what the current assignment looks like. Your competence, interest and needs of the business determine what will be the focus of your tasks. Please write in the personal letter if you are interested in a particular area.

The handling of administrative law cases takes place primarily in the police’s digital case management system, so you therefore need to be comfortable working with a computer as a work tool.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • at least one year of professional experience of qualified handling in the near term that the employer deems relevant
  • 3-year high school qualification, alternatively other education that the employer deems equivalent
  • good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish
  • good computer skills.
  • It is advantageous if you have:

  • experience in searching legal texts and making legal assessments within what the employer considers to be relevant legislation, for example the Administration Act
  • experience with IT-based document and case management systems
  • experience in handling official matters
  • knowledge within relevant legislation.

To be successful in the role of case manager, you must be interested in case work and enjoy an occasional fast pace. You have a structured way of working, good analytical skills, see context and can prioritize the right things. You can work independently, have good cooperation and communication skills. You are interested in learning new legislation and new working methods.
