Legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon announced his retirement from football on Wednesday at the age of 45. The announcement was made through the athlete’s social networks.

In the last two seasons, the archer defended Parma, the club that revealed him, in Italy’s second division. Thus, his last game was in the defeat by Cagliari, by 3 to 2, in the access playoff for Serie A.

In the country, Buffon also stood out in the goal of Juventus. The experienced player also played for Paris Saint-Germain.
