After a five-year hiatus, the beloved musical performance show “Live from Daryl’s House” is making a comeback on the web. The long-running program, co-hosted by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall, will now be seen on a dedicated YouTube channel starting Wednesday, November 1st. The first episode of the new season will feature Squeeze singer/songwriter Glenn Tilbrook.

Fans can expect new episodes of “LFDH” to drop weekly, with upcoming guests including Atlanta psychedelic jam band Blackberry Smoke singer/guitarist Charlie Starr on November 8th, King Crimson guitarist and Daryl Hall solo album producer Robert Fripp on November 15th, singer/songwriters Andy Grammer on November 22nd, Lisa Loeb on November 29th, and U.K. synthpop pioneer Howard Jones on December 6th.

The show is being executive produced by Daryl Hall and his longtime manager Jonathan Wolfson for their production company, Good Cop Bad Cop Productions. Since its debut on November 15, 2007, “Live from Daryl’s House” has shot a total of 90 episodes, including the latest six.

“It was an idea I had to use the Internet for entertainment, which hadn’t really been done before,” Hall explains of the show’s inception. “Hard to believe but there wasn’t anything like it. So much has changed since then. I was kind of a pioneer.” Hall expresses his excitement for the new season, stating, “I’m unbelievably excited about the new season. I love all the guests we’ve booked and I think we’ve gone to places, musically, that we’ve never gone to before.”

Jonathan Wolfson adds, “Having been a part of this series with Daryl since its inception, I’m filled with pride at the number of incredible artists that have appeared on this very special music series. Our latest season is a continuation of the quality programming that the fans have come to expect.”

After securing a deal with BMG to co-fund production, “Live from Daryl’s House” filmed its final episodes in 2018, with the last two airing in October 2020 featuring Styx’s Tommy Shaw and Vintage Trouble vocalist Ty Taylor. The show has received accolades over the years, including a Webby Award in 2010 for Best Variety Show among 10,000 entries and an O Music Award from MTV.

Throughout its run, “Live from Daryl’s House” has featured a diverse mix of legendary artists and newcomers. Some past guests include Chromeo, Fitz & the Tantrums, Minus the Bear, Aloe Black, KT Tunstall, Smokey Robinson, Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger of the Doors, Nick Lowe, Cheap Trick, Wyclef Jean, Aaron Neville, Billy Gibbons, Booker T. Jones, and Kenny Loggins. Notably, a segment with fellow Philly soul man Todd Rundgren even turned into a tour, which will be coming to the Los Angeles Pantages Theater on November 6th. Since opening his Daryl’s House Restaurant and Music Club on Halloween 2014, every episode of “Live from Daryl’s House” has been filmed there.

Jonathan Wolfson credits the show’s popularity for the resurgence in Daryl Hall’s career over the past decade, introducing him to new artists and audiences he may not have reached previously. The return of “Live from Daryl’s House” is sure to be an exciting development for fans eager to see their favorite musicians perform in an intimate, collaborative setting once again.
