Legislation to improve conditions and benefits for discharged American soldiers who remained disabled after their service won bipartisan support in the Senate. These are soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and were exposed to toxic areas during their fighting there.
The bill will now face a final vote for approval, and at a later stage will move to President Joe Biden’s table.
