Chelsea overcame Leicester’s resistance in London in stoppage time to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

Chelsea overcame the resistance of almost-certain Championship champions Leicester thanks to two stoppage-time goals to advance 4-2 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

The Londoners took a two-goal lead in the first half thanks to Mark Koukoureya and the unstoppable Cole Palmer this year and failed a Raheem Sterling penalty to seal victory.

A quarter of a minute in the 2nd half brought things up and down. Against the flow of the game, the “foxes” reduced thanks to an own goal by Axel Disassi and Steffi Mavididi equalized against the flow of the game in the 62nd minute. The England striker’s goal was Leicester’s only accurate finish of the game, with Chelsea pounding away in the aftermath, looking for redemption.

Callum Doyle’s dismissal in the 73rd minute moved the game into the Leicester area, with Carney Chukwuemeka proving a golden substitute to score in the 2nd minute of stoppage time. Six minutes later Mauricio Pochettino’s second substitution of the match, Noni Madueke, set up the final score.
