“Thank you 2023. You have taught me a lot,” Lena begins her conclusion. “It was a year full of confusion and uncertainty for me.”
It’s not just the many physical setbacks that seem to be bothering her. But above all, their mental health. November and December finished her off again, she sums up.
“But maybe that was a good thing, nice and deep down and then: think, reflect and go into the next year with new thoughts, new energy and new courage,” she tries to find something positive to say about this fateful year.

What happened in 2023?
Their streak of bad luck continued throughout the year. In the summer, Lena was seriously injured in a dramatic riding accident and suffered a double fracture of the sacrum. Since this is the connection point between the spine and the pelvis, Lena was lucky because she could have been paralyzed from the accident. Still, it took her many weeks to heal properly.

The next low blow followed in December: Lena reported from the emergency room. She didn’t reveal what exactly she had. But I had to stay in bed for the next few days.

“November and December hang heavy over me. Everything is gray and dark and this year it’s really affecting me and I’m feeling it on every level,” Lena wrote in mid-December.
Now the singer wants to start the new year positively. Her resolutions: “More authentic. More with me. Back to me. Less pressure. More fun”.
