The musician Lena Meyer-Landrut has canceled another performance due to illness. She was supposed to be on stage at the Ansbach Open festival in Middle Franconia on Monday evening. “Due to a medical emergency, Lena cannot perform with us in Ansbach tonight,” the festival organizers announced on their website.

After canceling several concerts, Meyer-Landrut (33) wrote on Instagram at the beginning of July: “Slowly getting back on track. – A few days of rest were necessary.” She thanked her fans for their well-wishes for recovery.

At the end of June, Meyer-Landrut had to cancel a performance in Munich at short notice due to abdominal and kidney pain. “I wasn’t feeling well during the day, and in the evening, I had severe cramps in my abdomen and kidneys. I had to vomit just before the show started and was then taken to a clinic,” the 33-year-old wrote on Instagram.

Her appearance at the Munich Tollwood Festival was canceled at the very last minute. As one concert-goer reported, the audience was waiting for the performance of the musician and her band when an announcement informed them that it would take a bit longer because someone had collapsed. Lena was supposed to be the main act of the evening after performances by singer Tom Twers and Leony.

Some time later, a woman took the stage and, initially without giving any reasons, announced that the concert had to be canceled. “I’m really sorry that you waited so long and had to leave disappointed,” Meyer-Landrut wrote on Instagram in June. “My conscience is bothering me, but my body said no.”
