The singer Lena Meyer-Landrut (33) has now also canceled her remaining two concerts this year, on Friday in Stuttgart and on Saturday in Echternach, Luxembourg. Her team announced this in an Instagram story.

To this, the team posted an audio message from the singer to her fans: “It breaks my heart, and I wish so much that I didn’t have to record this. But as you may have already seen in the previous slide, I have to cancel the remaining shows this year for health reasons,” says Meyer-Landrut.

Lena Meyer-Landrut has to “pull the emergency brake”

The singer stated that on Sunday she “landed in the emergency room for the third time in the last few weeks with severe pain cramps.” She said, “And each time it catches me, my crew, the band, and of course you fans totally by surprise. And every time it is a shock that is not pleasant for anyone.” She has to “simply pull the emergency brake” now. In the end, Meyer-Landrut thanked and apologized to her fans. She is now taking a “short break” for her health.

Not the first cancellations

The winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 had already canceled several concerts in recent days and weeks, sometimes shortly before they were set to begin. At the beginning of July, the 33-year-old had to cancel performances in Munich and Wangen im Allgäu on short notice due to health issues. Her fans were worried thereafter.

“I wasn’t feeling well during the day, and then in the evening I got cramp-like abdominal and kidney pains, had to throw up just before show time, and was then taken to a clinic,” the musician informed her fans on Instagram at that time.

After a few days of rest, she stated that she was “slowly back on track.” Meyer-Landrut is currently on tour with her new album “Loyal to myself.” In recent days, she had performed concerts in Plauen and Wolfsburg. After that, she canceled planned appearances in Ansbach and Regensburg.
