Lenovo announces the Legion 9i, with liquid cooling for its Core i9-13980HX and RTX 4090

Lenovo has announced one of its most cutting-edge laptops, the Legion 9i, with an extra of everything that includes even liquid cooling according to the company, although in a reduced version and for laptops. This means that there is a water circuit inside with a pump to circulate it, and a radiator for the transfer. It includes three fans for this purpose.

The equipment measures 357.7 mm × 277.7 mm × 22.7 mm and weighs 2.56 kg, which for what it carries is even thin and light. Its screen is 40.6 cm (16 in) with mini-LEDs, with a resolution of 3200 × 2000 pixels, with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a response time of 3 ms. It plays HDR content, with a DisplayHDR 1000 certificate. It covers 100% of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color scales, so for professional work it should be good.

The processor is a Core i9-13980HX 24-core with up to a RTX 4090, with Optimus, multiplexer and 25 W dynamic turbo. Includes 32 GB of DDR5-6400 or 64 GB of DDR5-5600. For storage, it has up to 2 TB of PCIe 4.0 type SSD.

The connectivity of the equipment includes two USB 3.0, one USB 3.0 type C and two Thunderbolt 4, with one HDMI 2.1 and one RJ-45 socket. Includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.1. There’s an SD card reader, stereo speakers, and a keyboard with per-key configurable RGB lighting, but there’s also lighting all around the laptop. The battery is 99.99 Wh, and uses a 330 W charger, although through USB type C it can be powered with up to 140 W.

Its price starts from 4499 euros.
