Lenovo is working on a Legion phone for gamers with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 16 GB of memory

Lenovo is expected to launch a new gaming phone during the third quarter of this year, according to Reporting Of the serial leaker Evan Blass. The name of the device will be Lenovo Halo, and while it will definitely belong to the company’s successful Legion series, it’s not exactly a direct sequel to the relatively new Legion Phone Duel 2.

Instead, Lenovo is aiming for a “minimalist” gaming phone, one that will not come with an ornate design, dedicated gaming controllers and RGB lighting. Instead, at least from the outside, the Lenovo Halo is expected to look like a completely normal smartphone, although it will be equipped with powerful hardware and also various additions to the operating system that will make it particularly suitable for gaming.

The specifications are expected to be based on Qualcomm’s latest chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, along with 16 GB of working memory and 256 GB of file storage. The rear camera array will be based on three sensors, with the main one boasting a resolution of 50 megapixels. The battery will have a capacity of 5,000 mAh, with support for fast charging with a power of up to 68 watts.

Lenovo’s attempt to launch a more “mature” gaming phone leaves room, of course, for another model, a more direct continuation of existing Legion models, with the usual extroverted design.
