Lenovo Unveils ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid with Android and Windows Interfaces

Lenovo has showcased its latest innovation in the laptop market, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid, which features a unique combination of the Android touch interface and the Windows computer interface. When utilized in laptop mode, the ThinkBook Plus Hybrid functions like a regular Windows laptop. However, when the display is detached, it transforms into an Android tablet.

The Windows section of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid boasts impressive specifications, including an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and a 75WHr battery. Meanwhile, the top half is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of flash memory, and a 38WHr battery. Both sections share a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display.

Furthermore, Lenovo also presented the ThinkBook 16p, a 16-inch laptop featuring a 14th generation Intel processor (up to i9) and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. The laptop includes an innovative feature called Magic Bay, equipped with magnets and pogo pins, allowing users to attach accessories such as the new 4K lens named Lenovo Magic Bay Studio.

The ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid is scheduled to be released in the second quarter of this year, with the starting price estimated to be around US$1,999 (approximately HK$15,610). On the other hand, the ThinkBook 16p Gen 5 is expected to go on sale later this quarter, with a starting price of US$1,599 (approximately HK$12,486). Additionally, the new 4K lens Lenovo Magic Bay Studio will be launched in April, with prices starting from US$199.99 (approximately HK$1,562).
