jpnn.com – Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana will meet the destroyers Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto in the semifinals of the 2024 Japan Open.

The new Indonesian pair will challenge Malaysian representatives Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin.

Previously, Goh/Nur booked tickets to the 2024 Japan Open semifinals after defeating Fajar/Rian in a match rubber game with a score of 21-16, 10-21, 21-16.

Now, Leo/Bagas are trying to avenge Fajar/Rian’s ‘revenge’ by defeating Goh/Nur.

They have also prepared a strategy to face the world’s 12th ranked men’s doubles.

“In the semifinals against the Malaysian doubles, previously I and Daniel, and Mas Bagas/Fikri have also met them. We will be ready. After this we will watch the video recording of the opponent’s match, we will study it,” explained Leo in his statement.

“With this new partner, my and Leo’s performance could possibly trick the opponent. This will be an advantage for us,” Bagas added.

Leo/Bagas are not the only Indonesian representatives who have advanced to the semifinals of the 2024 Japan Open.
