Is it possible to see Leo Messi star in another continent starting next season? Judging by the mouthfuls of several former stars of the Argentina national team, it may be so.
In the last day, the local media have been dealing with two outbursts by Con Aguero and Maxi Rodríguez in connection with the future of Leo Messi.
“The Flea”, who grew up in the Argentinian Newell’s Old Boys and moved to Barcelona’s youth department at a young age, never ruled out the possibility of returning to his native country. Now, it is possible that this may happen.
In an interview Con Aguero gave to journalist Sebastian Vignolo, the latter said to the former striker: “He (Messi) wants to do for himself if everything goes well (win the World Cup). I can’t find out where he will go, but it won’t be Barcelona.” Aguero confirmed: “Yes, I know not there. That’s how I understood it.”
The agreement of Aguero, who is known to be very close to Messi, created a frenzy in Argentina. And if that wasn’t enough, then another past star, Maxi Rodriguez, really didn’t deny his words: “Con is Con. He can’t keep quiet. Let’s see what happens during the weekend. It’s hard to talk about it because there’s a huge game ahead. Let’s We’ll see what happens, and let’s not be ahead of our time.”
