INFORMATION MAY BE FIGURED – Both operators recorded traffic on their mobile networks on Thursday during the swimmer’s finals. The opening ceremony also generated significant traffic for the country’s two largest operators.

Two gold medals, two unprecedented times… and a national mobile traffic record. France was literally on fire on Wednesday, July 31, for the Toulouse swimmer Léon Marchand, who became the Olympic champion in the 200-meter butterfly and breaststroke two hours apart. According to the data provided to Figaro by Orange and SFR, the two largest operators in the country saw their meters explode during the two finals of France.

On the Orange network alone, mobile traffic reached a peak of 1.86 Terabits per second, surpassing the previous record recorded at Euro 2024 during the semi-final between France and Spain. The same observation in SFR, which has few mobile clients but whose traffic has exceeded the bar of 1.8 Terabits per second. The operator leaves this to mobile customers who love data in general than its rival Orange. The traffic recorded on Wednesday evening was, however, not a record for the red square operator.
