Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuiyan gave a message of unity in the situation arising around the quota reform movement. Jamal, the captain of the Bangladesh football team, has already been supporting the students’ movement. This time he urged the people of the country to unite instead of dividing.
In a Facebook post, Jamal wrote, ‘Prayers for all of Bangladesh. To everyone in Bangladesh, I am watching and following you. I am praying for a good day ahead in sha Allah. Let’s be united instead of divided.’
Earlier in a video message, Jamal said, ‘Everyone should support the students’ movement. But we have to make sure that no one harms the country’s wealth and people in any way. We are always there for all the students of the country.’
‘This successful movement of students has advanced the talent. Among them, I saw many things vandalized, burnt and many injured and killed in many places.’- He added.
Jamal also said, “If any foreign friend comes to Bangladesh, show them the Padma Bridge, Metrorail, Elevated Expressway of our country.” It’s really nice when they say something nice.’
National team cricketer Mahmudullah Riyad supported this movement by breaking the silence. He wrote in his Facebook post, ‘We are always on the path of justice, we will be in sha Allah. We all want justice. At the end of the day, the country belongs to all of us. Surely Allah is just.’
