The violent crime wave that broke out in Rosario After the Bukele-style searches in the Piñero prison, where high-profile prisoners are housed, a strong political reaction was unleashed. This Saturday, the Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrichwrote a letter to the people of Rosario where he also left a warning for the drug traffickers: he said that he will report them for “acts of terrorism”.
He “communicated to the population of Rosario”, signed by the national official, arrives after the homicides of two taxi drivers in less than 24 hours, with bullets from the Santa Fe Police; and of the shooting attacks on a bus driver who is hospitalized in serious condition and on Police Station 15. None of the victims would be related to the criminal world and the events would be a response to the increases in controls on the leaders of the organizations, according to the first data from the investigations.
“As we have said many times, Rosario is one of our priorities on safety matter. And although we have been working from minute one to bring peace to the citizens, crime and organized crime do not rest and do not give up. He later recalled that he decided, through a resolution published yesterday in the Official Gazette, to form a Crisis Committee commanded by her and co-directed by the governor of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, with whom he articulates in harmony.
“Together with the governor and the heads of the five federal forces, we are going to take the necessary measures so that any act of violence perpetrated on public roads or inside public places is initially considered an attempt to terrorize the population or condition the authorities and, therefore, will be reported as an act of terrorism”, Bullrich announced in the strongest section of the statement.
