The Luis Braille School celebrated its first 104 years. Congratulations to the teaching staff, service staff, and that adored legion of anonymous heroes, courageous mothers, fathers, relatives, and collaborators who daily lend their eyes, time, and love to accompany the daily bustle of people deprived of sight, who enjoy with their progress and are indignant with the urban barriers that we take care of in an irresponsible and harmful way to place in their path, in the face of the indifference of the authorities. An example of this is the bad parking of vehicles on the destroyed sidewalks, garbage bags, service booths, tables and chairs in bars and in the streets real craters or manhole covers that were stolen. The Braille School is located on Calle Alsina and Buenos Aires, next to a private, fenced square. Their true anniversary is April 29. Within these acts, an awareness day was developed where students, teachers and parents toured the downtown streets and installed an open radio in the heart of Plaza Independencia to shout from the four winds: Here we are, that’s what we are! Happy birthday Luis Braille School! Keep spreading knowledge and awareness for another 104 years!
