In May there are several festivals of the Virgin (Luján, Fátima, María Auxiliadora, Visitación, etc.). Argentina has always been characterized as a “Marian” country. Currently we no longer believe even in what we see. For more than 70 years we have lived in crisis (economic, political, social, educational), poverty, hunger, malnutrition, unemployment, etc. and, stranded in the middle of the storm, without direction or compass. However, from time to time, lights of faith and hope emerge. On 05/06 a World Rosary was prayed to the Virgin Mary (for men) and on 05/13 (for women). Years ago, according to a survey, 90% of Argentines considered themselves Catholic. Today the oaths of politicians, before God, upon accepting their posts, with a rigorous, mechanical and “unfulfillable” formula, are striking. In my 70 years of life, I already disbelieve politicians, economists, trade unionists, etc. that they have not only destroyed our country and sources of wealth, but have severed and affected our future generations, for life, due to their almost null cognitive development and “early” malnutrition. It is time to believe in the “heavenly” and not in the earthly. Recently I was able to appreciate the famous and emotional “Miracle of the Sun” that occurred in Fatima (1917), before thousands of spectators “believers and non-believers”. Science and humans do not believe in miracles and inexplicable cures (it is claimed that the Virgin Mary deflected the bullets in the attack on Pope John Paul II, coincidentally, on May 13, the day of the Virgin of Fatima). I call on all the Argentine people to unite in prayer, in the recitation of the Holy Rosary, for the “Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary” and ask her to always protect us under her Mantle.
