I ask myself this question because our country had a capacity for recovery that produced astonishment and sometimes surpassed forecasts and predictions from locals and strangers. Although they were always momentary (that is, there is something or a lot) to correct because there was no continuity (it’s like working until 11 and taking a nap until 6 in the afternoon) and for months. At one point, former senator and producer Carlos Reutemann made this statement: “during the years 2008 to 2016, soybeans were exported, which at the price of the moment were 250,000 million dollars and with a 35% retention, they mean about 80,000 million of the same currency. …and only soy. Those are the numbers that give,” he emphasized. I ask myself again if part of that money had been invested in routes or in equipment and expansion of railways, what Argentina would we have? There is a phrase from the journalist and international politics analyst Pilar Rahola that I am going to repeat ad nauseam because it still rings in my ears: “Argentina does not miss the opportunity to lose opportunities.” I hope this is reversed because if it gets cold and you burn the furniture to keep warm, you soon run out of furniture and the house remains cold, because we wanted to live like rich people, but we are poor. The proof of this was the proliferation of towns, settlements and usurpations that were the order of the day (and that are often part of a negotiation as we saw in the media). All of this is a launching pad towards crime and worse with inequitable justice. There is a very difficult task ahead that will demand time, capacity and effort, but I believe we have a well-informed President with a very sharp perception (from my point of view)
