31-year-old Georgian singer Levan Kbilashvili, a participant in the seventh season of the Voice contest, has died. He also gained fame as a protege and favorite of the singer Lyubov Uspenskaya, whom he conquered with his voice and soulful performance.

On the show “Voice” the singer’s mentor was his compatriot composer and producer Konstantin Meladze.

Lyubov Uspenskaya confirmed the death of the artist, writing that she had lost a friend and brother.

“I can’t believe this has happened and I’m writing these words now as my tears fall on my phone screen,” she tweeted.

Uspenskaya added that Kbilashvili’s death was unexpected for everyone, because the day before he sent her a message and a video from the concert.

“I can’t describe my grief in any words … emptiness,” the singer admitted, adding that she did not believe in what had happened.

“Rest in peace, my angel. I love you forever,” the 68-year-old artist shared.

The cause of the singer’s death is still unknown.
