The twelfth season of “Celebrity Big Brother” is over, and the winner was chosen in the big live finale on Monday. The viewers chose Leyla Lahouar.
They had to stay in Germany’s most famous TV container for more than two weeks. There was laughter, arguments, tears and blasphemy. There was even an engagement in front of the cameras. 14 stars fought for a place in the final in the twelfth season of “Celebrity Big Brother”. However, only five of them succeeded.
On Monday evening, actor Jochen Horst, ex-“Berlin – Tag & Nacht” actor Matthias Höhn, “Big Brother” legend Alida Kurras and the reality TV couple Leyla Lahouar and Mike Heiter competed against each other one last time.
In the three-hour finale, the residents were voted out of the show one by one. Mike Heiter started, followed shortly afterwards by Alida Kurras. Matze Höhn landed in third place. The final decision had to be made between Jochen Horst and Leyla Lahouar.
The latter ultimately received more calls from viewers – and was thus named the winner of the twelfth season. “I can’t believe this,” was all the 28-year-old said and covered her face with her hands. When she was alone in the container, Leyla was happy: “Soon I’ll be a wife and have 100,000 euros!”
The reality actress won twice on the TV show. In the semifinals on Sunday, her partner Mike Heiter, who was also a contestant on the show, asked for her hand in marriage – and she said “yes”. The two met at the RTL jungle camp at the beginning of the year.
With the award ceremony, the twelfth season of “Celebrity Big Brother” is now over. But presenter Marlene Lufen made it clear to the viewers at the end of the live show that the show would also have a new edition in 2025.
